Costume Designer + Stylist

Born in Pasadena, California and raised in Europe until I the age of nine, my parents were not surprised when I showed both a flair for the dramatic. So naturally I chose to pursue a degree in Theater Arts, with an emphasis in acting, and a minor in Costume Design and Literature from San Francisco State University, and studying under August Coppola.
Following my graduation, I relocated to Los Angeles. Focusing on the clothing aspect of film production, I was lucky when the actress Elizabeth Perkins took me under her wing and onto an Alan Rudolph film called “Love At Large” shooting in Portland, Oregon. Four seasons on “The Wonder Years” followed, as did numerous long term and day playing jobs as a costumer on shows such as “3rd Rock From The Sun”, “Drew Carey”, and the films “Devil In a Blue Dress”, “Boogie Nights” and “The Princess Diaries”, to name just a few.
In 2000, I was asked to costume design a very, very low budget independent film, “Billy’s Hollywood Screen Kiss, which subsequently went on to win the Sundance Film Festival’s Audience Award in 2001. The movie launched Sean Hayes’ career, with the advent of “Will and Grace”, a gay romcom. I continued working as a costumer, but also style commercials, assist in designing projects like Justin Timberlake’s tour “Justified”, videos and appearances with Janet Jackson, and a video with the legendary Tina Turner. Costume designing jobs followed, and to date I have designed over 15 films, countless commercials, and a few stage productions.
Currently I call New York home. In 2017, I earned a Master of Arts degree from Parsons, The New School. I added urban practice to my arsenal. I continue to follow my passion for fashion, costumes, literature, and design in the ever-changing business of film, television, commercials, and most recently, web and internet programs. My dream is to meld my background in costumes and fashion with addressing urban issues and social activism.
